Feather Star
Crinoidea
-5.43333, 123.767
Field Notes
Description:
Feather stars are echinoderms with many arms and a mouth at their centre. They wave the arms around, which have small "feelers" on them (giving the arms the appearance of feathers, hence the name) that catch particles in floating in the water. The arms then bring this food to the mouth.
Notes:
Unsure about the species of this one. Found some photos with similar feather star in it, but no mention of even a genus! Help would be lovely
