Field Notes

Description:

Small sparrow sized bird with vivid yellow markings on their wings and a red face with white and black head. Very social birds you will usually see several together.

Habitat:

The cafe down by the beach where we live grows sunflowers all around the edge of the garden and every year they are invaded by these lovely birds.

Notes:

I have already had a spotting of this bird last year but I so love them and this one looked a little bit tidier than last time.
