Description:

Spotted in the Okefenokee Swamp in southeastern GA. Due to its extremely small range, this plant is classified as globally imperiled.

Habitat:

Floating prairies, or immediately on the edge of or in shallow water (e.g. margins of wet ditches or marshes), or on low hummocks in shallow water in hemic or sapric soils.

Notes:

This variety is limited to the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge and surrounding areas (< 8 km beyond Refuge borders) in southeastern Georgia.
