I have been given an ID suggestion of Paralaea polysticha
Grey-lined Crest-moth by Dr Cathy Byrne - Tasmanian Museum

Young larvae of Paralaea have brighter lateral stripes according to this link.

Therefore I am going with this genus.
Thanks Mark.
Thanks Chief.
I was thinking of Paralaea which is the species I found last season.

I cannot see a match in either genus.
Thanks magazhu
Thanks Mark. I have not tried yet.
I tried to ID similar ones last year and found it difficult.
They have threads and slide down to the ground when disturbed.
Strange creatures.
