Field Notes

Description:

approximately 10cm across, stem not visible, top has obviously split open.

Habitat:

eucalyptus forest, bushland

Notes:

Phyllaporus rhodoxanthus, caps to 120mm across, broadly convex at first, becoming flattened to undulate or slightly depressed. Gills broad, and often forked (as in this case) with cross veins near stem (not visible in these photographs) yellow to greenish yellow, gregarious in eucalypt forests (though this was on its own)
