Description:

Climbing vine with clusters of red to orange-red trumpet shaped flowers about. Each flower is about 4-5 inches (10-13cm) long and 2 inches (5cm) wide. Leaves are opposite of each other. This vine was probably about 30 feet (9m) up a tree. The seed pods are also visible in this shot.

Habitat:

Spotted in wooded area in South Louisiana. I have also seen them up trees in freshwater marshy areas.
