Yep I think it is a Yellow Coneflower (Ratibida pinnata). Aster family (Asteraceae).
@Nicholas4: the (apparently) characteristic ray-flowers of the false sunflower aren't there (http://www.ct-botanical-society.org/galleries/heliopsisheli.html) The black, conic center makes my vote go for genus rudbeckia, for the species uhhhm [shrug] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudbeckia) =P
