Description:

Glaucus shrub grows 3-12" tall, purple star-shaped flowers

Habitat:

Salt marsh - not at water's edge, on elevated, dry soil surrounded by salt water. Dirt is mostly fine river deposits that include or are surrounded by evaporites; dissolved mineral salts in water accumulate and crystalize in layers like at the Great Salt Lake in Utah.
