Habitat:

temperate forest, appears to be nocturnal

Notes:

This large beetle came around our camp late at night while we were having a fire. It stayed very still while I photographed it and then it was off.

Thanks auntnance, I think it is the Northeastern Sawyer.
It could be but I'm not sure. I can't find too many photos of it.
In looking into this, I find that there's quite the problem with longhorn beetles in Canada (asian and brown spruce especially). Could this one though be a northern sawyer?
