Field Notes

Description:

Wood pigeons are common, large species of pigeon native across the northern parts of Europe and Western asia. Wood pigeons are grey with a pink chest and white collar. This one was sitting in a tree being very loud. Normally, despite being such common sights, this species is quite shy and will fly away if you get too close.
