Description:

Also called an Albino Kangaroo, they are quite rare and very few survive in the wild. Kangaroos are a native animal of Australia. Albino Kangaroos have white fur and sometimes pink eyes. Their white fur makes them stand out in the wild and are more vulnerable to prey. This kangaroo and it's baby joey was photographed in an Australian wildlife park.

I always feel sorry for these albino marsupials. They do show up occasionally in the wild, but these parks that have them breed them as oddities. Obviously they have a problem with the sun, especially in their eyes (and Australia is sunny). The only place with a naturally occurring population of wild albinos is Bruny Island, in Tasmania. It's usually cool and over-cast there, 42 degrees south of the equator, and there are no natural predators on the island.
