Description:

one of our most frequently seen dragonflies; about 1 3/4 inches long, stocky body; this is a female because it has a brown abdomen with yellowish spots on the sides; Males have a chalky white abdomen; there are clear wings with brown blotches in the center of each wing and at the tips; Both sexes have brown faces and brown legs.
