Field Notes

Description:

I found this bug inside the swimming pool, under water using some sort of air bubble. When I took it out of the water it rested a couple of minutes and then it flew away. This was in the mountains close to Madrid.
It likes to swim upside down, it is a predator attacking even tadpoles and small fishes.

Habitat:

Lakes, pools, marshes and even swimming pools
