I will be more aware of this issue I personally don't eat meat but sometimes eat fish. My normal diet is purely veg. Happy when I gather it from my garden. It was interely difficult in Vietnam due to lack of language on my part.
Scarlett you are right caught for food is human beneficial, should not match to Web of Life concept so for Project Noah.
i'm sorry if my comment was a little rude, but the pic kind of shocked me... i know people eat animals.. (including myself) but I thought project noah was for well.. live species. it's a interesting fact, though :)
Thanks Mick! We really appreciate your understanding.
Hi Mick, I understand that food preferences vary across the globe and I find it interesting to learn about different culinary customs and traditions. However, the aim of our project is really to celebrate the diversity of wildlife across the planet, with an emphasis on the life part. We've received a few emails and flaggings related to your second photo since it is a bit graphic and I would kindly ask that you delete it. Thanks for your understanding and for your contributions. Feel free to contact me if you have any specific questions. [email protected]
I've eaten it a couple times--it's okay. (eel is better)
In the UK it is normal to eat it as a steak (fried - grilled) after the spikes are removed and the skin stripped off. (Sorry to the veggaterian)
