This is most likely some member of the family Scoliidae.
I suspect this is a sawfly (Hymenoptera) and related to a wasp but has lacks the narrow waist and stinging function.
Hi gkong. Sounds like interesting work. I frequently use the PaDiL website to look up things spotted here. As for the dinolites, I think I've found my newest toy. :D
thats a nice and compact looking microscope gkong56
Hi all and thx for the welcome. I am a plant pathologist by training and have been working on databases for plant pests for a number of years. I was interested in Noah because we want to build social networking capabilities into our website www.PaDIL.gov.au. So I joined Noah to see what it has to offer and I think it's wonderful!! I work on remote microscopy as well if ur interested in the concept. The easiest way to be involved is to get a USB microscope to plug Into ur computer. Check out www.dino-lite.com. Cheers
nice spotting, welcome ,n join the gang
