Field Notes

Description:

These tiny flowers were fluorescent purple-pink on the tips of brown undersides of the flowers. They looked almost like matchstick plants but were the wring color.

Habitat:

I saw these after a weekend of torrential rain, at the Taco Bell near the Bates House of Turkey in Greenville, Alabama. They were at the back of the parking lot, behind the dumpster in the grass. It was a bright sunny day, so I got to get several shots of this vine growing in what looked like a ditch, along with some other pretty flowers, all growing wild.
