Wow, thank you Ava T-B, I didn't think the bird would be able to be ID'd because it was so fuzzy :) If I had more pics, I'd make a separate spotting. Guess I'll have to look for it the next time I go.
Cindy, I think the bird in the middle picture might be a pacific golden plover http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7893724, or maybe more likely, an american golden plover.
