Description:

larval stage of black swallowtail butterfly. These are found in my garden on my parsley plants all summer long.

Habitat:

On parsley in my garden.

Notes:

This turned out to be a female butterfly. See my post for Black Swallowtail http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6936219 for this caterpillar as an adult.
