Solanum Dulcamara

Joanna in Solanum there is vast variety in Brinjal sizes, berry to forearm size.
A dangerous misconception. I agree with Joanna, even basing on this single photo of loosely clustered flowers, it is not an eggplant. Eggplants have solitary inflorescence. Check out this wiki site for the bittersweet nightshade (Solanum dulcamara) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solanum_dulcamara
It's definitely not Eggplant- although the blossoms are quite similar. It's a rather common misconception! :)
Also called Eggplant. Brinjal vegetable plant.
Not near water, it's actually growing on our gate!
It is a member of the nightshade family. Ruling out tomato and potato, my best guess would be bittersweet nightshade. Is it growing near water?
