Description:

Eastern Purple martin arrives in this area mid May and normally settle into the numerous Martin houses erected along the river and in locals gardens, Before frost arrives martins gather together on power or telephone lines for the journey back to the south during the northern cold winter.

Habitat:

Large condominium houses specific for the Purple Martin

Notes:

A very good bird to lessen the mosquitoes near houses during the summer
