Field Notes

Description:

Small blue bird. Males are bright blue. The females are a brown. They are about the size of a finch but are in the same family as Cardinals, Cardinalidae. They also make a similar chirp to the cardinal.

Habitat:

Brush and open woodland.

Notes:

These guys were also at the bird party at the Mount Magazine visitor center ;)
