Description:

Dianella tasmanica -- Dianellas are Southern Hemisphere grasslike spreading perennials in the lily family, with narrow, glossy, straplike leaves. They produce blue flowers followed by ornamental blue berries. This plant grows to 4', with flat, not keeled, leaves that mainly emerge directly from the ground, but sometimes in fans on short stems. Flowers are lavender-blue to violet, with pale yellow anthers, and the ovoid berries are dark blue.

@ Ian,this is a rare plant. I found this plant in the Bee Gardens at Markham. I am assuming that its pollinator are bees.
Thanks Emma, the variegated variety is a popular garden plant here for its leaves, but I did not see the blue berries until my spotting. Now I'm curious about its pollinator.
@IanMichaelIleto, we finally have an Id on these berries. Rare plant.

Emma, I did a web search for Coccocypselum sp. but I could not find an image similar to that of our spottings.
@ Ian any possibility this could be "Coccocypselum sp."?
