Field Notes

Description:

Light brown with olive coloring. It had very distinctive spots all along its back. These were more of a rust color.

Habitat:

My garage ... but normally they prefer open woodlands, prairies and beaches.

Notes:

Not sure if this a male or female, but I would guess female. They are generally lighter in color.

I have a fairly good shot of his head ... I will post it later today.
Yes Micheal its a Toad as its figure matches...
This is a toad which is in the genus Anaxyrus (Bufo.) I believe in Ohio you have both American Toads and Fowlers Toads, and they are fairly hard to tell apart without a good shot of the top of the head.
thanks! he seemed right at home where I found him!
