Field Notes

Description:

Largest land mammal - Greyish Brown with large ears and trunk and tusks - Savanna Elephant Stands 7-9 Mtrs long and 3 - 4 mtrs at the shoulder

Habitat:

Wide habitat but lives in savanna woodland at Kruger - most restricted to conservation areas due to the damage they can do to human agriculture.

Notes:

Most people who get close to them in the wild find them very honoured to experience them and want to stay longer.

Thanks letermagog yes, the Calve came into investigate with Mother more careful with the Bull standing back watching. A lucky group!
