Field Notes

Description:

Fledgeling Robin spotted about 1 mtr from the ground, quite nervous but trying to be inconspicious. The fine baby down is evident near the head.

Habitat:

Woodland and resident all year in Ohio feeds from the ground like a Thrush - stamps for worms on grassland.

Notes:

Shot in the wooded grounds of the Southern Ohio community college. There is a stream nearby with very good cover.
