Village edge, secondary growth on disturbed plot.

On further study I think the genus is Argiope. I still wonder about these 3D webs that I haven't seen described for the genus.
Thanks LarsKorb, however this specimen's web is very different from Argiope catenulata's as depicted in the reference. This spider builds an intricate 3D web which should help me to narrow it down.
