Field Notes

Description:

Male - Blackish-brown; dark brown or at times glossy blue-back upper body. Males have a white patch on the wings where as in females this patch is missing. Chestnut vent and under tail.

Habitat:

Open country; edges of forests; near human settlements and scrubs

Notes:

Found all over Indian sub continent; Southern Himalayan foot-hills
