Description:

Pig-like, massive head and shoulders. Legs and rear small.

Habitat:

Desert washes, canyons, oak woodlands of C and SE Arizona and SW New Mexico.

Notes:

Best children's book, "Don't call me Pig - A Javelina Story. By Conrad Storad.
