Shot these photos at John's Pass it is a challange to get a good shot of one diving.

If the opportunity presents itself, docks where fishing vessels leave and arrive with the catch of the day, seem to be congregating points for pelicans and herons. It might provide a spot to get multiple tries of the birds diving for bait fish fish that are released from the live wells on the boats.
When we were driving across the Tampa Bridge to go to the airport last week, I tried taking a picture of a Pelican as it was flying and I got one wing, not good enough for Noah.
