Field Notes

Description:

Huge beautyberry bush, one of the tallest I've seen

Habitat:

One of many shrubs lining the parking lot of a tiny park (the one with Auggie the gopher tortoise) with a small boardwalk out looking a salt marsh.

Notes:

It was cold and not too many animals were out, but although I didn't notice anything specifically feeding on it there were some dragonflies around the general vicinity

Thanks for doing that! This information made it more interesting to look at the spotting and think about what may have attracted you to photographing it. The spottings with this kind of personal information often are even more appreciated by other Noah members. I can imagine what you mean by "intimidating" but no one expects a scientific treatise - just information on what you saw, what attracted you, what you found interesting, etc. Thanks again!
I added more notes and stuff. I like the open ended journal but it can be a bit intimidating still, trying to figure out what kind of stuff to write about. Thank you for your help!
In North Carolina, the birds have eaten all the berries already. It would be cool if you could add some notes on where you saw the plant and whether you had noticed any birds enjoying the fruit. :)
