Description:
a waxy parasitic plant that has no chlorophyll. The Indian Pipe parasitizes a fungus that is in a mycorrhizal relationship with trees. Because the indian pipe doesn't require light to grow it can be found in shady areas. The plant can have pink to red varieties. Cant wait to find these
Habitat:
Indian Pipe is usually seen from June to September. It grows in shady woods with rich soil and decaying plant matter.
