Description:

This turtle was seen in a small pond near a bayou. It has impressive claws on its back feet and aquatic-type growth on its shell. Other inhabitants of the area include common moorhens, white ibis, a great egret, a large heron (tri-colored?), and a small heron type as yet to be determined. Spotting near the FL gulf coast but pond assumed as fresh water. Tropical south.
