Field Notes

Description:

Sparse plant with white flowers clumped together. When they die off, the brown dried flowers make a brown ball at the end of each stem. This is native to California.

Habitat:

Dry chaparral area on trail at Daley Ranch

Notes:

First two photo's taken by one of my teen nature enthusiast :) The series shows various stages of this plant.
