Thats what I was thinking. The saddlebags has an indentation on the dark pattern that your dragonfly doesn't seem to have. Yours also has a wider abdomen than the saddlebags. But I am just learning about these gorgeous creatures so lets see if anyone else weighs in
@Cynthia, do you think it could be a widow skimmer? I don't know dragonflies that well and was trying to match wing patterns.
Its a type of skimmer but I dont think it is the saddlebags
