Field Notes

Description:

In the summer and early Fall, these spiders spin large, strong webs around my house. I've seen the webs as large as six feet across, and they spin a new one every night between tree limbs. I caught this one hard at work. By morning they're gone, and sleep under leaves in the trees. I'm going to try to get a good shot of one sleeping in the day to go with this.
