Description:

Female Ruby throated Hummingbird - Only hummingbird in the eastern US. Arrives in early spring and departs before the first frosts. Likes the bean flowers and other bright flowers incl bee balm we have for the butterflies.

Habitat:

Nest high in the dense trees above my house.

Notes:

Male very busy keeping other hummingbirds off his territory -
