Field Notes

Habitat:

This Melanitis leda (the Common Evening Brown) butterfly spotted among dried banana leaves in the backyard.

Notes:

Melanitis (genus) were among the dead leaves, and its wings folded like a leaf dried it self. The species of this genus when disturbed fly some distance, suddenly fell into the bushes with wings closed and tilted, they looks like dead leaves slowly fall to the ground.
