Maybe it got caught on someone's car coming south from Oregon & fell off there.
The June bugs we get out here are usually green. I have never seen one with white strips
That's a June bug, all right. We used to find some much like that in Eugene, Oregon. Car grills aren't too kind to the big guys.
Can't be certain but it looks similar. If anything, it might help point you in the right direction to identifying. =)
