Description:

Further loadup of the colouful and confident Hornbill with Black body White at the end of wings Red around eyes and bright chin pouch. Strutting with brother and sisters on the track we were driving.

Habitat:

Savanna and scrub forest on the high veldt.

Susan, I guess they would be among the scavengers at a kill - we saw them beside the track were a forest fire had burnt the scrub in that area - maybe they were doing a clean up there. "They forage on the ground, where they feed on reptiles, frogs, snails, insects and mammals up to the size of hares" - (Thanks Wiki)
