Definitely not Queen's cup, looks more like Lillium washingtonianum.

Yes, we have never seen them here either. We had a lot more snow this year and all the flowers in the mountains are blooming:)

The closest I can come up with is Clintonia uniflora (Queen's cup), but this looks like there are flower stems branching off a main stem, and the flowers look both bigger and more colorful than C. uniflora. I've never seen it hiking in the Cascades before; good spotting!
