Description:

I found these caterpillars in a walnut tree. There was a tent in the same area of the tree, I believe it belongs to the caterpillars Photo #4).

Habitat:

Walnut tree.

These look like Fall Webworms, Hyphantria cunea. Bugguide says they are found in northern Mexico but I imagine they could migrate south. They don't care much about our borders ;-). Walnut is a known larval host. See what you think: http://bugguide.net/node/view/453
