Field Notes

Description:

Boyd's Forest Dragon.

Habitat:

North Queensland Rainforest

Notes:

Very easy to catch. Laying in stealth mode in the middle of a 4WD track sunning itself, not flinching an inch. Simply walked straight up and put my hat on it and rolled him over. It did bite my hat. Once I let it go it shot off quickly into the dense rain forest. Saw another about 100 meters further down the track. Also saw a large red-belly black snake.

Hi peter.winters! Could you please crop or replace this image so that only the lizard is showing. On Project Noah we ask users to refrain from showing people on their spottings. This is to maintain the focus of the site on nature only. Thank you in advance! http://www.projectnoah.org/faq
