Field Notes

Habitat:

Large semi-urban yard/garden. There is an adjacent patch of remnant forest.

Notes:

This species seems to be attracted to vertiver grass (Chrysopogon zizanioides) I've planted in a trial. Typically a sunny afternoon will see several individuals will alight on the clumps of grass.

One of four species of previously alien Lepidoptera recorded in Papua (the Indonesian part of New Guinea) according to the Papua Insects Foundation.
