Field Notes

Description:

Medium-sized spider with a yellow and black abdomen and orange and black legs. Orb Weaver?

Notes:

Had a Zig-Zag pattern in the middle of its web. Anytime anyone came close it would shake its web violently. Here, it was eating a small beetle with rather large pinchers that I threw in its web. Fascinating to watch it wrap it up.
