Description:

This brightly coloured butterfly had a striking black body with thin white stripes.

Habitat:

Seen imbibing minerals from monkey Poo with several other forest species, on a small path, quite deep in tropical forest.

Last photo shows the habitat.

thanks Gylma. Yes. it was amazing to see. And they were all a bit stoned! I pushed them with a stick to get better photos of some of them, and they just moved where they were pushed - or didn't - but didn't fly away.
thanks Jacob for the ID. Should have thought about it maybe being a moth, because I was always uneasy with it as a butterfly. It just somehow didn't seem right!
