Field Notes

Description:

Spotted (in both cases) on spruce-deadwood.
This white tree fungus extracts a milky white fluid.

I've been working a couple of years in the woods, but honestly this one's completely new to me...maybe I've been blind these years...dunno.

I had that one, too - actually in bad quality due to darkness, so it's not within the collection.
Curious fungi! I love the details of this photos. We have also a similar fungi, but this is darker, take a look: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6314178
