Description:

about 1/4 inch across, brown with a white horseshoe shape int he center of its back. I've hiked this trail and this meadow dozens of times without ever seeing one and in a 100 foot trail we and our dogs were covered. We picked off well over a hundred from each of the pups. I didn't think to take a picture until I pulled a dead one off of her
