Description:

Marine fish species of the family Syngnathidae.
Species common among coastal seaweed and warm temperate seas, in water at 8-24 ° C.
Body length up to 35 cm. Snout strongly laterally flattened, with a length greater than half the length of the head, turned into a tube mouth directed obliquely upwards.

Habitat:

Found in East Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Europe, the Baltic Sea, the Mediterranean, Black Sea and Azov.
