Field Notes

Description:

I was visiting a park call Andrew Haydon Park that has a lake in the middle.
I couldn't believe when i saw this creature resting on an algae under the water. I catched it , took the picture and put it back to the lake.

Habitat:

ponds, lakes

Notes:

I think is a giant water bug. In Argentina we used to called them CUCARACHA ACUATICA.
