Description:

Very plentiful in this patch of woods. This is one of the most attractive fungi in my opinion, and a very interesting one too! It has 23,328 mating types. They are saprobes (wood decomposers) or occasionally parasites of living trees.

Habitat:

On several branches and twigs in a hardwood forest.
